2.       College reading, chapter 4, Implied Main Ideas pp. 145-185. Chapter 4

 

A.       Read, take notes on writing narrowed topics, controlling ideas, and topic sentences in a paragraph.

B.       Understand connections or relationships between ideas in reading selections.

C.       Read to find implied main ideas in non-fiction writing.

 

Wednesday 2/17

1.       Chapter 3: Developing the Paragraph Practice 7 and paragraph.

2.       Staple, tape or glue paragraph in notebook.

3.       Finish college reading, chapter 4, Implied Main Ideas pp. 145-185.

4.       Turn in homework college reading chapter 4: 1-33. Chapter 4: 1-33

5.       Test on chapter 4 Implied Main Ideas.

Critical Reader QOD

Continue working on Membean 15 min * 3 days per week

1.       Grammar Lesson Continue grammar, chapter 27-part C. Chapter 27

·         New No Red Ink exercises.

2.       SAT Reading practice set (Fitzgerald).

3.       Identify item types and complete questions.

 

A.       Identify the verb that agrees in number with subject.

B.       Read for information including inference, textual evidence, and development of central ideas (non-fiction). (RI1-3)

C.       Evaluate passages for command of evidence, inference, words in context, and analysis.

Friday 2/19

  1. Finish biography on Douglass.
  2. Answer questions on video.
  3. Meet Membean progress goal of 90 minutes practice spread over 2 weeks at 15 minutes per day.
  4. Membean test #2. 

 

A.       Actively listen and answer questions on a video.

B.       Demonstrate comprehension of vocabulary terms.

C.       Utilize technology to complete vocabulary lessons.
