  2. Read Douglass biography, p. 457.
  3. Define: autobiography, objective, subjective, point of view, third person & limited (see p. 476 for definitions).
  4. Begin reading from Autobiography of Frederick Douglass.
  5. Do rethink #2 and literary link, p. 455 in notebooks.
  6. *Hint: literary link is possible exam question.
  7. Begin Unit 7 vocabulary time permitting.

Wednesday 3/3

  1. Vocabulary: in word skills book read p. 96 and do exercises on page 97 on Dialects. Discuss aphorisms.
  2. Work on Unit 7 vocabulary- due the day of the midterm.
  3. Begin Units 4 and 8 vocabulary review units- both are due the day of the midterm exam.

Thursday 3/4

  1. Review ACT questions #30 to #40.
  2. Grammar: turn in one page from pp. 118-121 and one page from 145-151.
  3. Begin Periods, pp. 154-156 and Commas, pp. 157-163- DUE NEXT WEDNESDAY 3/10/04.
  4. Read Ambrose Bierce biography, p. 476 and biographical connection.
  5. Read An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge,
  6. Do literary link, p. 475 in notebooks and on overhead.
  7. Start timelines with project partner- DUE NEXT WEDNESDAY 3/10/04.

  1. Listen to Sullivan Ballous letter, p. 474.
  2. Do quick write #1 on page 475 in notebooks.
