B.      Utilize reading (and listening) for information and active reading/listening skills.

Tuesday 4/11                              Chicago Sports Day

  1. Finish the Search for Salinger 1st.
  2. Grammar Chapter 12.2: Using the Degrees of Comparison.
  3. Begin College Reading Chapter 8: Purpose and Tone

Thursday 4/14                                          Mustang Gear

  1. Quiz on chapters 1-4 in The Catcher in the Rye.
  2. Discus key questions from chapters 3 and 4.
  3. Continue reading Catcher in the Rye chapter 5-9.
  4. Pass out 1940s Project, form groups and pick topics from a jar.
  5. Display website links and how to Google. Fill out groups and tasks.
  6. Show examples of completed projects.

Review slide show on expectations.

  1. Work in groups to begin research.

Continue reading time permitting.
